Brutality discusses New Music, New Members, and their Legacy

I sat down with the death metal band Brutality. In the interview we discuss the writing of their new music, new members guitarist Jason Schwartzwalder and drummer Ronnie Parmer, and their legacy of 30 years as a band.

Brutality formed in 1986 and released their first demo in 1988. They released their first album, Screams of Anguish, in 1993 during the height of the Tampa death metal scene. After years of recording albums and touring, Brutality broke up to pursue other interests. Brutality reformed in 2012, and has since grown stronger.

Brutality is a band that’s widespread in the extreme metal community. With a legacy behind their name in the legendary city of Tampa, Brutality proves that the sunshine state releases the most extreme bands in the universe. Brutality has continued to provoke fans, from their debut album Screams of Anguish to their newest album Sea of Ignorance. Their comeback has only strengthened the griphold they have on the extreme metal community.

Brutality will awaken everything that’s brutal inside of you. This band amplifies the intensity of their music while tapping into dexterous musicianship. It truly is an enigma how Brutality uses the best of aggression and complex musicianship.

My name is Stephanie Jensen. I started my career as a music journalist five years ago. I had the idea for Infernal TV when I realized I desired more creative direction. I enjoyed working with video, so I decided to create a video-based website for metal bands.
