Red Fang Discusses Their 7″ and Red Wine

There is no band like Red Fang. Red Fang’s distinctive features include even beyond their sound.

Red Fang can’t be subjected to a genre. Their sound is a combination of rock and metal, with additional genre influences such as stoner and doom. But the band has other characteristics that make you appreciate them even more. Red Fang has a crazy sense of humor, that comes out in their songwriting and the funny videos they release.

On January 26, I saw Red Fang for the first time while they supported Corrosion of Conformity and Black Label Society. Out of all of the bands, they were my favorite. When I was researching for my interview, a journalist described their music as catchy and how every song easily sticks with you. I couldn’t agree more. With the first note, I immediately recognized my favorite songs from the Murder the Mountains album.

Red Fang currently has a lot going on. They’re releasing a 7” in April for a children’s cancer charity, and a purchase comes with a free skateboard. They also released their new Red Fang red wine, so wine-o’s can rejoice!

I was able to speak to Red Fang while they came through Jannus Live in St. Petersburg, Florida. In the interview we discuss the 7”, tour, their videos, and their new wine.

My name is Stephanie Jensen. I started my career as a music journalist five years ago. I had the idea for Infernal TV when I realized I desired more creative direction. I enjoyed working with video, so I decided to create a video-based website for metal bands.
