Episode 7 | Part 1: Rock Solid Pressure Industry Showcase

I was honored to be a panelist at the annual 2017 Rock Solid Pressure Showcase. This event takes place every year, where J-Rock and Patty show Florida’s best talent. The winning bands got amazing perks, including: a opening slot at Rocklahoma, a pick endorsement, and a chance to record with a professional audio engineer. My prize? A chance to be on Infernal TV! But since there were so many amazing bands on the bill, I decided to make two different parts of this episode!

This first episode is all about Chlover and Aegea. Even though both bands sound different, they both have one major thing in common: they both have potential.

Chlover can be defined as the deathcore genre, with super deep riffs and crazy breakdowns. They sound like old Whitechapel to me. Aegea is an extremely versatile rock band. You can tell they have metal influences, but their sound is varied with clean vocals and electronic backing tracks.

Both bands already have a lot going on for them. Aegea just released the EP “Through the Static.” Chlover is currently playing shows in Florida and Cuba, and are currently writing a new album.

In this episode, I feature an interview with Chlover and some live footage. I interviewed Aegea and recorded two song play-throughs of the songs “Bastard Son” and “Chasing Yesterday.”

My name is Stephanie Jensen. I started my career as a music journalist five years ago. I had the idea for Infernal TV when I realized I desired more creative direction. I enjoyed working with video, so I decided to create a video-based website for metal bands.
