BTBAM Live Show and Automata Part I Review

I’ve been a Between the Buried and Me fan for years, ever since I first heard Alaska. Ever since then, I’ve followed everything this band has done. What got me into BTBAM was how much they stood out. This band is heavy with varying influences. As the years progressed, this band became even more unpredictable. BTBAM has a very varying sound, but they always hold their own signature style. This is why all new BTBAM releases are amazing.

Recently, BTBAM released Automata Part I. The sound changes were subtle; rather than writing longer and complex songs, each song has a stagnant style and is shorter in length. When listening to the album compared to other albums, I thought Automata sounded completely different. But watching their live set, Automata completely blended into each song perfectly. It was like BTBAM never wrote a new album and was playing older material.

I’ve seen BTBAM live many times. But this show was a little different. The show started really early; BTBAM played around 8 or 8:30 and ended only a little after 9:30. But there was still a large, supportive and enthusiastic crowd for BTBAM!
