Women’s Day Interview | Mallika Sundaramurthy Discusses New Abnormality and Gender Equality in Metal

Every year, Infernal TV will hold a special interview for International Women’s Day. In 2018, our guest was no other than Mallika Sundaramurthy. When speaking of extreme metal vocalists, Mallika’s name is iconic. There are few vocalists who have the grit, talent, and forcefulness as Mallika. Her vocals are crazy brutal. But you know she put a lot of work into achieving those insane vocals.

Mallika is best-known for fronting Abnormality, one of the best modern extreme metal bands. In 2015, Abnormality signed with Metal Blade Records and are currently working on their second full-length with the label.

When she’s not being brutal with Abnormality, Mallika plays in other bands, works in the video game industry and also gives growling vocal lessons.

In the interview, Mallika discusses ways the metal industry can be more accepting of women, the new Abnormality album, and discusses her vocal lessons.
