Mors Principium Est Discusses Touring and 2019 | Infernal TV Episode 13
It’s hard to find a metal band that sounds brutal and melodic at the same time. But they do exist, and a perfect example is Mors Principium Est. This band is almost 15 years old, but they’re just now emerging in the U.S. market. Their first time touring the U.S. is in 2018, supporting Carach Angren.
But they sure packed a punch. Their set was filled with constant energy. Fans gathered around at The Haven in Orlando to watch Mors play popular songs such as “Reclaim the Sun.” There was plenty of moshing and crowd surfing. Fans even recognized older material; vocalist Ville Viljanen asked if anyone wanted to hear material off of Liberation = Termination, and fans screamed and cheered.
Mors is also one of the few bands to get better with each album. Their 2017 release Embers of a Dying World is by far their best album. The band not only improved all around, but this is the album where they solidified their sound. Mors can only go up from here.
Hopefully, we can see Mors in the US more! Their set was awesome!
I spoke to Ville and guitarist/orchestrations Andy Gillion. In the interview we discuss the tour, their songwriting, and what they can say about 2019 and new music.
