Infernal TV Interviews

Chris Reifert Discusses New Autopsy, Violation Wound, and Painted Doll | Infernal TV Episode 23

Chris Reifert is one of the most legendary names in metal. From his work on Death’s Scream Bloody Gore to the myriad of bands and projects he has working on now, this guy never stops. Of course, it was Scream Bloody Gore and then Autopsy that introduced me to Reifert. But checking out his other bands really proves he’s a versatile musician.

Of course, we can’t mention Reifert without mentioning Autopsy. Their ground-breaking album Severed Survival just celebrated their 30th year anniversary! That band has never released a bad album. I even like new stuff, specifically Tourniquets, Hacksaws, Graves. And they’re coming out with another new album! Can’t wait!

Reifert is also involved with Violation Wound, Painted Doll, and the supergroup Siege of Power. All of which have new music coming out. Violation Wound is super cool because it’s that gritty punk sound with Reifert’s signature vocals. Painted Doll is interesting because they sound like psychedelic rock from the 60’s and 70’s. And Siege of Power is just phenomenal! Reifert is in that band with members of bands I love such as Asphyx.

Check out the interview I did with Reifert. He discusses Severed Survival’s 30th year anniversary, the new music you can expect, how all of these bands came together, and the importance of branching out as a musician.

My name is Stephanie Jensen. I started my career as a music journalist five years ago. I had the idea for Infernal TV when I realized I desired more creative direction. I enjoyed working with video, so I decided to create a video-based website for metal bands.
