Rob Barrett of Cannibal Corpse Discusses Violence Unimagined

After a crazy year, it makes me so happy to see Cannibal Corpse will be releasing a new album soon! And I haven’t anticipated an album this much in a long time. Not only that, but Cannibal Corpse decided to bring in Erik Rutan permanently. I can’t wait to hear his contributions!

The new album, titled Violence Unimagined, will be released on April 16!

So far, they released the track “Inhumane Harvest” and it’s one of the best new Cannibal Corpse songs. It’s a brutal but catchy track, with strong riffing. Too bad we have to wait awhile to see them perform this material live, but I’m sure it will be worth it when shows come back!

I was able to interview Cannibal Corpse guitarist Rob Barrett. In the interview we discuss “Inhumane Harvest,” the songwriting for the album, and what they can say about playing live again.
