Rafay of Withered Discusses Verloren and the Pandemic

Withered is a band that has a long history, releasing countless albums where they push their boundaries. But one thing that rings true for this band is their albums always have meaning.

This is especially true for this newest album, Verloren. “Verloren” means “missing” in German, and the band focused on various aspects of their life that were missing. This is especially integral, with the pandemic and bands not being able to tour.

With two new members, Withered emerges with a reinvented sound and they’re ready to perform new material for the fans!

I was able to speak to bassist Rafay Nabeel. In the interview we discuss Rafay being a part of the album writing process, the concept, and how the pandemic affected the band.
