Mikael Stanne From Dark Tranquillity Discusses Their North American Tour

It was my first time seeing Dark Tranquillity live at The Orpheum on March 2. I’ve been listening to this band for years and always missed them live. I wish I saw their set sooner. Wow! They played an incredible set. I heard some of my favorite songs throughout their discography, such as “Punish My Heaven” and “Lost to Apathy.” They also played some of my favorite songs from the album, Moment, such as “Phantom Days.” The band had so much energy, they sounded perfect, and the effects they had in the background were really cool.

Speaking of the album Moment, I absolutely loved it. There are some heavy songs but I especially love the more melodic songs, such as “In Truth Divided.” It’s definitely one of their best newer releases.

I was able to speak to Dark Tranquillity’s singer Mikael Stanne. In the interview, we talk about their North American tour, touring after COVID, Moment, and their songwriting progression throughout the years.
