Cognitive Discusses Quiescence Tour and New Music

Right now, we’re witnessing the band Cognitive taking over the metal scene. They combine crushing slams with virtuoso musicianship and various other styles in their music, so no song or album is predictable.

Cognitive fell under my radar with the album Malevolent Thoughts of a Hastened Extinction. Now, they’re taking things a step further with their upcoming album, Rot Eternal. Cognitive only releases better material with each album, and I know they have a dominating future ahead of them.

I was able to speak to guitar player Rob Wharton. In the interview, we discuss the Quiescence tour and what he can say about new music.
