…And Oceans Discusses MDF and New Music

No band is as unpredictable as …And Oceans. Their 30-year legacy has been marked with dynamic influences, changing sounds, and a long hiatus that kept fans on their feet. Since releasing 2020’s Cosmic World Mother, …And Oceans has been their strongest, releasing consistently solid records and touring nonstop.

This year, …And Oceans will be making their U.S. debut at Maryland Deathfest. After a busy tour in Asia, the Finnish black metalers will be crossing the pond to play at one of the biggest extreme metal festivals in the U.S. And American black metal fans are ecstatic to see this legendary band perform—including myself!

After MDF, …And Oceans won’t be slowing down. They have festivals in Finland and Mexico booked this year, and they’re beginning to work on new music.

I was able to speak to …And Oceans about playing MDF, why it’s taken them so long to play the U.S., and what they can say about new music.

My name is Stephanie Jensen. I started my career as a music journalist five years ago. I had the idea for Infernal TV when I realized I desired more creative direction. I enjoyed working with video, so I decided to create a video-based website for metal bands.
