Finntroll “Vredesvävd” Album Review | Infernal TV Album Reviews

The folk metal legends are back! On September 18, the Finntroll new album, Vredesvävd, will be released. This is their first album in seven years. From the minute the album begins to the final second, the album is intense. You’ll get sucked right in and will be hooked until the very end.

Fortunately, this band hasn’t lost their core sound from all Finntroll albums. They’re still aggressive but also utilize the folk influences in a tasteful way.

Another thing I like about this album is how every song is different. Some songs are fast and brutal while others are catchy and many songs feature beautiful melodies. A lot of the songs also take twists and turns that will make the listener asking for more.

While many commenters are saying the album sounds like old material, I think it’s a complete mix of different styles and sounds. There are even a few great anthem songs that would be perfect live songs (there is a Finntroll tour scheduled next spring).

The two singles they released, “Ormfolk” and “Forsen,” are extremely powerful songs that convey the album well. But fans don’t even know what to expect from the rest of the album. Every song has so much depth and all songs are well-written.
