Nige Rockett of Onslaught Discusses Generation Antichrist

On August 7th, Onslaught will release their newest album Generation Antichrist. This is by far one of their craziest albums, taking their traditional thrash sound up a thousand notches.

Every song is fast and aggressive. From “Strike Fast Strike Hard” to the re-recorded version of “A Perfect Day to Die,” every song can be a single because it’s so crushing! Honestly, they can perform this whole album live (whenever live shows come back) because every song is so powerful.

Onslaught definitely took it back to the old school with Generation Antichrist. They used some of their classic influences to deliver an in-your-face album. While every member of the band did amazing, I have to give it up to guitarist Wayne Dorman. His solos completely dominate the album and are one of my favorite parts of Generation Antichrist.

This is also the first album with new vocalist Sy Keeler. I honestly love Keeler’s voice and not many vocalists can fit in his shoes. But Garnett has such an awesome voice. His voice is also more aggressive than Keeler’s so his vocals fit the new Onslaught album perfectly.

I was able to speak to Onslaught guitarist Nyge Rockett. In the interview, he discusses Generation Antichrist, the addition of Dave Garnett to the band, and the importance of keeping Onslaught alive.
