Otis Archer Discusses the “War” EP and Premieres a New Song
It’s always refreshing to see musicians doing new things in metal. And Otis Archer (musical artist) stands out from the pack. Otis was a member of Every Bridge Burned who was signed to Rise Records. When the lockdown hit, Otis got the idea to create his own music. He learned how to do vocals, learned recording software, and wrote all of the lyrics, guitars, and bass.
As if it were meant to be, Otis met drummer Jordan Jensen (Dark Sermon, Creatures of Habit), who worked at a Verizon store in their local town of Austin, Texas. Otis walked into Verizon wanting a new phone. The two started discussing music, discovered they were both metal fans and musicians, and soon started collaborating.
This collaboration is the result of Otis Archer’s new EP, “War.” This is the second in the series of EPs, all inspired by the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
In this interview, Otis and Jordan discuss the formation of the band, the “War” EP, and the other series of EPs they’re releasing next. We also premiere the song “There Are No Strings on Me.”
